How to go?

Gabala is located 225 km from Baku. It is possible to use a private car, a taxi, a bus, and an airplane to go on vacation here. It takes about 4 hours to drive from Baku to Gabala. For those who want to travel by bus, there are Baku-Gabala, Ganja-Gabala, Mingachevir-Gabala, Sumgait-Gabala, Zagatala-Gabala bus routes. Buses depart from Baku-Gabala every day from Baku International Bus Station from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The price of a seat on the bus is 6 manats. Those who don't want to waste time on the road and want to get to the apartment faster can spend a little more money and use the Baku-Gabala airport. The flight is carried out twice a week - on Friday and Sunday. On Friday, the plane leaves Baku at 17:20 and returns to Baku at 20:00. On Sunday, it flies from Baku at 20:30 and returns at 10:15. The price of the ticket is 60 manat round trip. The flight is performed by Embraer 190 aircraft. Flight time is 55 minutes. For those who want to travel to Gabala, various tourism companies also offer one-day travel packages.

Hotels

The number of tourist-recreational complexes in Gabala is increasing rapidly. It is possible to spend the night here, from private houses and cottages to five-star hotels offering the highest service. Prices for one night in popular hotels here vary from 40 manat to 100 manat. Sights

Remains of Caucasian Albania Gabala is also called the Switzerland of Azerbaijan. Along with its beautiful nature, the harmony of ancient and modernity is reflected here. The city of Gabala, which has existed for more than 1,800 years, was the capital of Caucasian Albania for 600 years. Although it is not Caucasian Albania, Gabala still lives this culture. The ruins of ancient Gabala are located 15 km from the district center, in the area between the Karachay and Jovurlu rivers. The exhibits consisting of stone inscriptions and remains of the ancient city are preserved in the Gabala History and Local History Museum.

Nohur lake

Nature lovers can go to Nohur Lake in Gabala, go boating, take pictures in the beautiful scenery, or fish. Lake Nohur is located 3 km east of the city of Gabala, 1 km north of the village of Nohurgishlaq, in a natural hollow between the Gullyburun, Goydag and Yumuru mountains, at an altitude of 700 m above sea level. Lake Nohur was a natural lake until 1949. In 1949, an earthen dam was built in the southern part of this lake - between Güllü nose mountain and Yumuru mountain, and a water reservoir was created. The water of the Demiraparan and Vandam rivers flows into the Nohurgishlaq reservoir. Nohurgishlaq reservoir is also important in terms of development of lake fishermen (aquaculture) and sports (rowing). Currently, there are recreational zones on the northern, southern, western and eastern shores of the reservoir.

"Seven beautiful" waterfall

One of the fascinating beauties of Gabala is the "Seven Beautiful" waterfall. The waterfall is located at a distance of four kilometers from Vandam settlement, at the foot of the mountain, in a mountainous area with a dense forest. Although there are not seven waterfalls, there are seven stairs here, and you can climb the mountain with these stairs. Thousands of tourists come to see the waterfall every year. Gabaland Entertainment Center Gabala is not only a natural wonder, but also a man-made wonder. One of the most famous amusement parks of Azerbaijan - Gabaland is located here. There are brilliant attractions designed for children and adults. Entrance to Gabala is two manats, and the price of attractions varies from 1 manat to 5 manats depending on the type.

"Tufan" Mountain-Skiing Summer-Winter Recreation

Complex Gabala is not only a summer vacation destination, it is also an amazing place for those who love winter tourism. "Tufan" Mountain-Skiing Summer-Winter Recreation Complex was established here. The complex is located about 4 kilometers from the city. The first stage of the complex was opened in January 2014 with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The purpose of "Tufandağ" Winter-Summer Tourism Recreation Complex is to develop mountain tourism throughout the year and provide high-level recreation for local and foreign tourists. The complex offers tourists year-round cable car rides, winter skiing on trails of various difficulty levels, skiing training, skiing school and other services. For those who want to spend the night here, the Qafqaz Tufandag Mountain Resort Hotel operates in the complex area, and the price for one night here is 190 manats. The ride on the ropeways in the complex is free for children under 6 years old, and 10 manats for children over 6 years old. The clothes needed for skiing on ski trails are offered for 10 manats for half a day, 15 manats for one day, 25 manats for two days, and 30 manats for three days. The tourist routes of Gabala do not end with the ones we mentioned.
